On the 24th August Bethel Convention Centre said a final farewell to its founder and visionary, Bishop Sidney Alexander Dunn.

Bishop Dunn who founded the Bethel United Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic) UK in 1955 went on to plant over 40 churches across the United Kingdom and abroad. Bishop Dunn, in his 70’s had the vision of establishing the Bethel Convention Centre. The centre, a multipurpose venue opened in 2001 after 15 years of planning and is the home of a vast array of organisations, churches, community groups, corporate, charity and education organisations.

The life and service of Bishop Dunn is a testimony of what can be achieved when one has focus, faith and vision. Bishop Dunn’s dedication to ensuring the Bethel Convention Centre’s success, is our priority and primary focus. We will ensure that this wonderful facility continues to service the regions conferencing, conventions and meeting needs.

We are deeply indebted to Bishop Dunn's life and work and aim to ensure his contribution to the region is not forgotten.
